Uni Life

I'm finally finished with my semester at the University of Melbourne--a challenging and endlessly rewarding experience.
A highlight was conducting research on the race-relations with Aboriginal Australians; I learned so much!

I am excited to see where else my academics lead me.
This past semester has opened so many doors!

The Grampians | Mackenzie Falls

These are a few recent photos from a hike in the Grampians and Mackenzie Falls! Now that the sun is out, I've been spending more time outside of Melbourne, enjoying nature and the Victorian landscape.

Slow Living

Darwin, 2015

Going to Darwin was one of the richest experiences I have ever had.
The vibes there were amazing. Warm weather. Slow Living. Approachable people.
Beyond that, I got a lot of tlc hanging by the beach and taking in the atmosphere.

Solo Time on Tiwi Island

Tiwi Island, 2015

I took some time on the island to explore on my own,
taking photos, meeting locals and admiring the scenery.

The Ferry - Tiwi Island

On my way to Tiwi Island, I met some kids (between the age of 9-13) on the ferry who were training to be in the Tiwi army.

#PhotoGoals

Patrick Wright, who runs the blog DC Metro Moments, is one of my biggest photography inspirations. I love the intimacy of his photos--he gets so close to strangers. That, along with the color, composition, and consistency of his photos keep me coming back to his blog --> http://www.dcmetromoments.com/

These are a few of my favorites:

These photos are everything I want mine to be someday.

Smoke Stack Rhino

I got a super cool opportunity to photograph/film Smoke Stack Rhino, a Melbourne-based blues band. They played at the famous Cherry Bar on AC/DC lane. The crowd and atmosphere were perfect. I loved their high energy performance.

Life: Autumn's Birthday

Celebrated my friend Autumn's Birthday recently. We went out to dinner, hung out, and went to hip-hop night at the "Laundry Bar." It was a good night

Also...
I took an impromptu video at dinner. Our table started singing happy birthday to Autumn and the whole square joined in. It was a great moment, see it below :) !

Parkour

You never what you'll find on the streets on Melbourne. On this day I found a teenage boy practicing Parkour, the next day I found a man breathing fire.

Phillip Island

These are photos from last week's trip to Phillip Island, a small island off of the Victorian coast known for it's large populations of small, blue penguins. I spent the day walking the island's beautiful beaches and spent the night watching penguins swim out of the water. It was a good time.

Meeting Kangaroos

Kangaroos could make good therapy animals. After a few stressful weeks of school, I fed a few of them and felt better instantly!

Wintertime Hangouts

Before coming to Melbourne, I was nervous about meeting new people and starting a new life abroad. Welp, those fears are gone now. I've found people that I mesh with and couldn't be happier.
